Holding space with nature to reconnect with the source. Tapping the flow with Frances Shelley

I sat down to chat with Suffolk based Minimalist composer Frances Shelley to chat about her ability to hold space with nature and allow her hands to draw from her surroundings to create improvised music for those lucky enough to attend. Using a solar powered piano and setting it up among the reeds of Suffolk’s areas of outstanding natural beauty is just one of the amazing collaborations with nature that Frances has been involved with over the years. She uses Ableton live to draw subterranean counterpoints to her melodic beauty on her recent album ‘A Place Exists’

You can go for a hugely rewarding deep dive on her website : https://www.francesshelley.com
